In celebration of International Womens Day 2024, Cindy Kavanagh exhibited The Modern Muse a selection of photographic portraits from the body of work 50@50, 50 portraits of 50 diverse women at midlife. Women felt called to take part, share their story and collaborate on a portrait to collectively rebrand 50; together challenging the social-cultural ideal of youth equalling beauty. Reflecting on this important life transition, through menopause into the 'second spring', with a creative portrait welcoming this new chapter of life.
